Flamengo beat Cuiabá 2-1, in Mato Grosso, in the thirty-first round of the Brazilian Championship. With the result on Saturday night (8), the red-black team reached 52 points in the competition and rose, partially, to third place in the table.

After a lackluster first half for both teams, coach Dorival Júnior brought Matheus França into the game and saw results. The youngster's introduction shook up the team's structure, and Flamengo opened the scoring early in the second half. Marinho then conceded and converted a penalty.
