Young Flamengo talents take advantage of their free time to have fun playing football.

Video games are one of the favorite pastimes of Brazilian youth. Among the most acclaimed games by kids is Pro Evolution Soccer, from the Japanese manufacturer Konami, which brings together the world's biggest teams and national teams. This year, Flamengo is even licensed in the game, which has a mode for competing in the Copa Santander Libertadores. And among Flamengo's athletes, the game is also a craze.
Roommates in Londrina, João Vitor and Romário take advantage of their free time, such as after lunch this Saturday (January 15.01th), before the afternoon training session, to challenge each other and also face other teammates. The team from Flamengo's official website went to check out the matches and recorded the duel, played on Playstation.
Romário guaranteed he won every game: "They can't beat me. I just keep training because nobody can beat me," but João Vitor says the exact opposite: "I'm too good. It's hard to beat me here." Besides the two of them, Romário reveals that other players also show up in the room from time to time: "Wanderley came here and lost. Renato too. It's too easy (laughs)."
Romário, 16, and João Vitor, 19, both products of Flamengo's youth academy, have been integrated into the professional squad by coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo and are being closely observed during pre-season training in Londrina.
