Defender Frauches, just 18 years old and a standout player on Flamengo's youth team, was called up by Vanderlei Luxemburgo to join the Flamengo professional squad. This is the first time the player, who won the U-20 World Cup with the Brazilian national team, has been called up to train with Flamengo's senior players.

Frauches is expected to arrive in Rio this Thursday morning and begin physical training until he is integrated into the professional team. The defender, who is also captain of the youth team, was competing in a tournament in Italy with the red-and-black boys.

Frauches was a standout for Flamengo in the São Paulo Junior Cup and also in the U-20 Libertadores held in Lima, Peru, this year. The defender, despite suffering from the flu during the South American competition, was considered one of the best in the field.

The young player should be available to coach Luxemburgo for Sunday's match against Bahia, at Engenhão, for the second round of the return leg of the Brazilian Championship.
