Flamengo has always been a star in Futsal and continues to be. With three rounds of the Rio de Janeiro State Youth Championship underway, the Rubro-Negro is leading in two: the under-9 and under-13 categories. In the under-11 categories, the team is in second place. The next match for Flamengo's three categories will be on Sunday (18), starting at 10 am at Helênico, against the home team.

Flamengo debuted in the championship against Canto do Rio, in Gávea, and won in all three categories. In the under-9 category, they won 4-2, in the under-11 category, 12-0, and in the under-13 category, another rout: 16-1. In the second round, the team from Gávea faced Madureira, away from home, and won in the under-9 category, 9-2, and in the under-13 category, 5-1. Their only loss was in the under-11 category, 3-2.

Last Friday, in a third-round match, Flamengo faced Mackenzie away from home and came out on top in all three categories, winning 16-4 in the under-9 division, 4-1 in the under-11 division, and 7-4 in the under-13 division. With these results, Flamengo now holds first place in the under-9 and under-13 divisions, and second place in the under-11 division.
