Having qualified for the next stage of the Rio de Janeiro Futsal Championship in all categories, Flamengo played last weekend in Gávea and won four matches and lost one.

The under-15s faced the Pentágono team on Saturday (22.05) and won 4-2, while the under-17s lost 8-5. With these results, the under-15s moved up to second place. The under-17s are in third place.

On Sunday (23.05), it was the turn of the under-9, 11 and 13 kids to enter the court. The under-9 team took no notice and mercilessly thrashed the America team by 11 to 1. The under-11 boys did well by beating the team from Rua Campos Sales by a score of 6 to 0. Closing the Rubro Negra round of the weekend, the under-13 team also won by 8 to 6.

"We had a good first half. In the second half I made some changes that didn't have the expected effect, but on a great day our left wing Andrei and pivot Pedro Guilherme helped maintain the team's unbeaten run," said under-13 coach Ronaldo Espineli.
