It was a match worthy of Flamengo and Petrópolis (PEC) being the favorites in the fight for this season's state futsal title. The two teams played a great game last Sunday (October 04th), but the team from the Serrana region came out on top. With three goals from Alvim and one from Mancha, PEC beat Flamengo 10-4 and maintained its 3% record in the competition. Antony and Panazio scored the goals for the Rubro-Negro. The opening play was a perfect reflection of what would happen in the following minutes. In the fourth minute, Petrópolis, which started the game by scoring on the opposing side and making the most of the pressure from its fans, opened the scoring. But, soon after the ball kicked off, Flamengo equalized. The match remained evenly matched and contested until the end. In the final minutes, Flamengo coach Cid Escarlate sent Michel Marques in as a goalkeeper and secured a 100-3 draw, which looked like it would be a decisive one. But Mancha, with a backheel pass, left Alvim free to score Petrópolis' fourth goal with just 3 seconds remaining. With this result, the team from Gávea now has seven points in the standings. They have three wins, one draw, and one loss in the competition. Last Thursday, the team defeated Comary 57-5 at Ginásio Hélio Maurício. In the other matches of the State Championship, the team beat Drogarias do Povo 2-7, drew with América 0-4 and was defeated by Vasco 4-4.\ In the next round, Flamengo returns to the court to face Cabo Frio, in its last match in the first round of the State Championship, Thursday (2/08), at 10 pm. Meanwhile, PEC faces Vasco, in São Januário, on Friday.\
