Flamengo hosted the Vassouras team last Friday night (19/6), at the América Futebol Clube Gymnasium, in Tijuca, in a match valid for the first game of the semifinal of the 2009 Carioca Adult Futsal Championship. In a duel with many fouls and only one yellow card, for Flamengo player Paulindo, the teams drew 2-2.
The Vassouras team opened the scoring in the first half with a goal from Ailton, but the red-black team turned the score around with two great goals from Henrique, Gávea's number 18, and went into the second half with a 2-1 lead.
In the second half, to the dismay of the players and the entire crowd present, Diego Marcelino equalized for the Severiano Sombra University team.
Now, the Gávea team is training intensely for the return game, which will be this Thursday (25/6), in Vassouras, at 20:30 pm, and promises to play a great game to qualify for the final phase.
