The semifinal most celebrated by the red-and-black fans in the State Futsal Championship was the one involving the under-9 athletes. The final match against the Madureira team took the team to the Championship final.

The game was fast-paced and tightly contested. The home team, Madureira, relentlessly defended, and Flamengo had to use all their learning and composure to secure victory over their opponents.

The match ended 8-4 for the red-and-black team, which combined technique and tactical knowledge to make great plays and finishes with beautiful goals.

Flamengo's U-20 team is also in the running to lift the competition's gold trophy. The first leg of the final was played against the Pentágono team, and the red-and-black team prevailed, winning 7-1.

Now the youth team is focused on the final match that will determine the State title for the winner of the competition. The week has been filled with intensive training, and the team is confident of victory.

The under-11 and under-13 teams did not qualify for the finals, but deserve recognition for the excellent work carried out during the 2009 state season.
