Since 2019 representing the red and black colors, Gabriel Barbosa has won the idolatry of the Nation with great performances, 128 goals scored and many titles won: Campeonato Carioca (2019, 2020 and 2021), Brasileiro (2019 and 2020), Libertadores (2019), Recopa Sul-Americana (2020) and Supercopa do Brasil (2020 and 2021).
In addition to reaching the historic milestone with the Manto, Gabi became the youngest player to reach 100 goals in the Brazilian Championship at just 26 years and five days. The milestone was achieved with the red-and-black team's equalizer against the Ceará team at the Maracanã.
With this feat, the top scorer broke the record previously held by Roberto Dinamite. The Vasco forward reached the centennial milestone at 26 years and 24 days old. Of his 100 goals in the national competition, more than half were scored for the red-and-black team: 58.
For Mengão, Gabigol scored two consecutive goalscoring titles in the Brasileirão (2019 and 2020), being a key player in the 2019 national title, ending the club's ten-year drought in the competition.
