By Flamengo Communication - inGabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigol, is the new addition to Clube de Regatas do Flamengo for the 2019 season. After signing with Inter Milan, the striker arrives at the Most Beloved in the World on loan to defend the Sacred Mantle until December.
At 22, the striker is the current top scorer in the Brazilian Championship, with 18 goals, and in the Copa do Brasil, with four goals. Raised in the Santos youth academy, he has also played for Benfica and Internazionale.
Brazil National Team
Frequently called up to the Brazilian national team since the youth academy, Gabriel was part of the gold medal squad at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. At Santos, the athlete won the Campeonato Paulista in 2015 and 2016.
