Gabigol scores three times and Flamengo thrashes Cabofriense 4-1 at Maracanã

By Communication - Flamengo - inAfter winning the Guanabara Cup and the South American Recopa, Flamengo got off to a flying start in the Rio Cup! With a great collective performance, the Mais Querido thrashed Cabofriense 4-1 on Saturday night (29). The goals were scored by Michael and Gabigol (3).

Flamengo started the match completely on the opponent's side of the pitch. In the opening minute, Michael made a run and was fouled. Diego took a powerful shot, but the goalkeeper saved. In the 13th minute, the first goal came! Gabigol received the ball deep, crossed it, and Michael pushed it into the net. In the 20th minute, the number 9 left Pedro Rocha in good position, and the debutant shot wide. After the timeout, Cabofriense equalized with Gama with a shot from the edge of the box. In the 34th minute, Renê pounced on the rebound and tried a shot from distance without success. In the 41st minute, Gabigol left Michael one-on-one, but the number 19 hit the net from the outside. Two minutes later, Vitinho chipped the ball over the marker, and Michael shot straight at George.
In the first move of the second half, Gabigol played a one-two with Vitinho and set up Pedro Rocha. The striker fired a cross, and the goalkeeper stretched to save.
