On Monday afternoon (03), Flamengo held its last training session at Ninho do Urubu, before the match against Corinthians for the Copa do Brasil. Before the activity led by coach Marcelo Salles, striker Gabriel Barbosa gave a press conference.

"Playing for Flamengo every game is important. You can't say one is more important than the other. The pressure is huge. We'll miss the players (who are called up), but we have a squad that can supply them," said the number 9.

When asked about the top scorer dispute with Bruno Henrique, Gabigol was emphatic.

"I'm happy with the goals, the victory, and the way it went. There's not much competition with Bruno Henrique. We're up front to help, to create spaces for our teammates. We hope it continues like this."

Regarding Jorge Jesus, the new coach of Mais Querido, Gabriel evaluated and approved.

"When I arrived at Benfica, he had been there and I only heard good things. Everyone likes him, the person he is. We hope he comes soon and can help us," he said.

Change of playing style in the last match

"It depends a lot on the opponents' characteristics. We have players up front with different characteristics. These three happened to play together, and it was good for the center forward. But we also have Bruno Henrique and Vitinho, who will be important. The winner is Flamengo."

Marcelo Salles' formation with three midfielders

"I was happy. It changed my way of playing a bit with Diego and Arrascaeta playing. I like to come out of the box, but they said there were three players who would find me up front. I was patient and things went well. It's every center forward's dream to play with these three partners with such immense quality."
