Galhardo and Jorbison join the cast in Porto Feliz

Young fullbacks were with the U-19 team. Jorbison could even start on Sunday.

They played the final of the U-20 International Championship in Punta del Este, Uruguay, on Tuesday night, returned to Rio on Wednesday afternoon, and were already in the interior of São Paulo, in Porto Feliz, by the same evening. From the U-19 national team to Flamengo's senior team, young fullbacks Rafael Galhardo and Jorbison haven't stopped this week. They've played three matches in the competition and are now back in the strenuous training session with the senior team under coach Andrade. But who said they complain?

Aware that they need to show their work to receive an opportunity to shine and fulfill their dreams of continuing to be used, as they were in 2009, in Flamengo's professional team, Galhardo and Jorbison say that it is worth sacrificing a little.

\

"Neither Jorbison nor I have stopped yet. We arrived in Rio yesterday at 15:30 p.m., caught the flight at 19:30 p.m., and arrived in Porto Feliz at 23:30 p.m. But it's worth it. It's a very good and worthwhile effort for us, who are just starting out and fighting for a spot on the Flamengo team, which is so qualified," said Galhardo.

Inspired by Juan and Leonardo Moura, who form a duo considered by many to be the best in Brazil on the flanks of Flamengo, the two hope to shine in 2010. Jorbison, for example, can take advantage of the suspension of starter Juan and the sale of reserve Everton to start playing against Duque de Caxias, on Sunday, in the Rubro-Negro's first game of the season.

"I still don't know if I'll play, but of course it's good to know the coach is counting on you. I'll be very happy if I have the opportunity to play. We're tired, yes, but it's worth the sacrifice. The pace is the same," Jorbison added.
