When Léo Moura received a red card in the match against Avaí, Galhardo was called up by coach Luxemburgo to come on. And in addition to the responsibility of replacing one of the team's icons last weekend, the Flamengo academy graduate is looking forward to starting the next Brasileirão game against Internacional.
And if Luxa does choose him, Galhardo knows who to turn to for advice: Léo Moura himself.
"He is a role model for me, yes, for sure. During the week I will talk to him and, if coach Luxemburgo chooses to start me, I will try my best to replace him adequately. I know there's a possibility of being a starter, and if that happens, I will do everything to perform well," said Galhardo.
Regarding Flamengo's objectives in the competition, the right-back has already grasped what Luxemburgo has conveyed. Aware that the team has quality, he also hopes to see Flamengo secure and a spot in the Copa Sudamericana quickly.
"We're going for a spot in the Copa Sudamericana. That's our goal now, and I believe we're fully capable of climbing the table. An important step is this weekend against Inter, who are a very strong opponent. We need to win, even more so because we're playing at home," he concluded.
