It's official! After being announced by Flamengo last week, midfielder Gerson and defender Pablo Marí were presented by the club after training on Friday afternoon (19), at Ninho do Urubu. With the presence of the vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, the executive director of football, Bruno Spindel, and the football manager, Paulo Pelaipe, the athletes spoke about their happiness in playing for Flamengo.

"I have great respect for Fluminense, but I've always dreamed of playing for Flamengo. Those who know me know that. When I had the opportunity to sign with Flamengo, I didn't think twice. Many people have this dream, and I grabbed it with all my might. When I play against them, I'll respect them, but I'll defend mine," says Gerson. 

"I arrived last Saturday. The city is wonderful. From the little I saw, I loved it. The people are friendly and helpful. The club's structure is amazing. Foreigners have no idea what Flamengo is like until they come here and see it," says Pablo Marí.

Marcos Braz, vice president of football, also spoke about the negotiations with the two athletes and what he expects from them on the field wearing the red and black shirt. 

"We're very happy to once again leave Brazil to pursue some important negotiations to make the squad even more qualified. We managed to bring in Gerson and Pablo. Gerson was at Roma, and Pablo had a great season at La Coruña. We hope they have great success at Flamengo," he emphasizes.
