Preparing for another important Brazilian Championship match, midfielder Gerson spoke with reporters in Fortaleza before training this afternoon at Presidente Vargas Stadium. Praised by the press since his return to Brazil, the player discussed his current form and praised coach Jorge Jesus.

"I'm happy to be playing good football. I'm pleased with the confidence of the coach and the entire squad, and I still have a lot to improve, but I'll always keep my feet on the ground. We have a very important game ahead," he says. 

The player discussed the club's next steps in the Brazilian Championship and the CONMEBOL Libertadores. For him, it's important to always stay focused on the next match. 

"We have a very important game against Fortaleza and then the derby against Fluminense. We have commitments, and only then will we talk about Grêmio," he emphasizes.

Flamengo will face Fortaleza at Arena Castelão, at 20 pm, this Wednesday.
