Announced on Wednesday morning (21), Geuvânio was officially presented as the newest reinforcement of Mais Querido for the current season. With a loan contract signed until the end of 2018 with Tianjin Quanjian, from China, the versatile attacker continued his physical evaluations on the field, guided by professionals from Flamengo's Center of Excellence in Performance (CEP FLA).

At the end of the activities, Geuvânio gave his first press conference as a red-black athlete in the Victorino Chermont Press Room, at Ninho do Urubu, alongside president Eduardo Bandeira de Mello and football director Rodrigo Caetano, who provided details about the signing.

"As everyone already knows, Geuvânio is arriving on loan until the end of next year. Fundamental to this transaction was Flamengo's interest, the player's desire to be here, and also Tianjin's temporary loan. With these three parties agreed, the player is presented today," said Caetano, who clarified the player's legal status regarding the documentation required to make his debut. "His contract is already registered with the CBF. Because it was signed as of today, he will not yet meet legal playing conditions for tomorrow's match. Much will depend on the Chinese Federation regarding Sunday's match," he concluded.

The club's number 23 then spoke about this new stage in his career, celebrating the club's interest in signing him. "I'm very happy. Honestly, I didn't expect this to happen, because I was at Tianjin and didn't see the possibility of leaving. However, there was a complication in the Chinese Championship that prevented me from playing. I kept training, and the interest arose," commented Geuvânio.

After spending the last year playing in Chinese football, the athlete spoke about his decision to return to Brazil, as well as explaining the reasons for his move to Asia.

"When I left Santos for Tianjin, I was just starting out in football. I had to take a bigger step in my career, in my life. I had to help my family, which is big. I was at Tianjin, but I was unhappy without being able to play. Flamengo was the one who showed the most interest, the one who truly came," he explained, also praising Flamengo's commitment to providing all the necessary support for his family. "They also showed a lot of interest in taking care of my family, which is a key factor in me being here. As you know, my wife is very pregnant, and Flamengo welcomed my family very warmly here, providing my wife with all the necessary facilities. That's when they won my heart," he thanked.
