Flamengo goalkeeper Marcelo Carné won the Eight Nations International Tournament with the Brazilian U-17 team in South Korea. In the final, Marcelo excelled in the penalty shootout against Nigeria. The match ended in a 2-2 draw in regulation time. Brazil won 4-3 in the shootout.

The team also included defender Lucas Galdino, also from Flamengo. The tournament served as preparation for the Pan American Games.
