Rio de Janeiro government partners with Flamengo, Fluminense, and Botafogo to promote the state in the World Cup

By - in

The governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro, signed this Wednesday (5) a cooperation agreement with the clubs Flamengo, Fluminense and Botafogo for international promotion actions for Rio de Janeiro during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Rio will be the only city in the world with three representatives in the competition, reinforcing its vocation as the capital of football.

Flamengo's participation in the tournament, which will be played in the United States in June 2025, extends beyond the pitch. The club is preparing a series of initiatives focused on institutional presence, internationalization of the brand, and fan engagement. Highlights include Casa Flamengo in Orlando and the Resenhas Rubro-Negras (Red-Black Reviews), exclusive events organized in the host cities, always on the eve of the matches.

For Flamengo president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, the partnership represents a strategic opportunity: "It's an honor for Flamengo to be part of this project. The state of Rio de Janeiro has a vital connection with football and boasts four major clubs. The Club World Cup is a competition that's here to stay, and it's symbolic that Rio has three representatives. Football and tourism are powerful assets for our state, and I'm certain we'll be well represented."

Casa Flamengo – The Nation's Home at the World Cup

Casa Flamengo will be inaugurated on June 14, the opening date of the competition, at Icon Park in Orlando – a space with free admission that brings together attractions such as The Wheel, Madame Tussauds, the Blue Man Group and the Sea Life Aquarium.

Open from 13pm to 22pm (extended until 23pm on night game days), the House will have an intense schedule, including:

  • Broadcast of Flamengo games;
  • Promotional activations with sponsors;
  • Exclusive experiences for fans;
  • Presence of special guests, influencers and former players;
  • Samba circles to get the fans in the grandstand atmosphere.

Casa Flamengo is a project by the club in partnership with the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, and is sponsored by Flabet, Budweiser, Motorola and Disney+.
