Carlos Alberto Lemos Junior (FLAMENGO), Luiz Américo de Paula Chaves (VASCO), Roberta Fernandes (FLUMINENSE), Joana Prado and Aníbal Rouxinol Segundo (BOTAFOGO) discussed today Bill No. 5186, which amends the Pelé Law and is in the final stages of processing in the Chamber of Deputies.

Lawyers believe the bill is positive for Brazilian football and will serve to clarify controversial issues such as the penalty clause and the employment relationship between athletes and clubs. The Special Committee responsible for the matter meets in Brasília next week, and Rio clubs are expected to participate at the invitation of the bill's rapporteur, Congressman José Rocha.

Furthermore, the clubs intend to discuss with prosecutor Rodrigo Terra measures to improve security conditions at football matches in Rio de Janeiro.
