Flamengo's group in the South is full of newcomers
The squad has four players who are on their first trip wearing the Flamengo shirt.

Porto Alegre (SP) - The reinforcements Flamengo signed for the Brazilian Championship in the second half of 2010 are gradually becoming part of the Flamengo squad. The list of players who traveled to Porto Alegre this weekend to face Internacional at Beira-Rio Stadium is proof of this. Of the 20 players called up by Rogério Lourenço for the match, four are making their first trip with the Gávea club.
This is the case with goalkeeper Vinícius, defender Jean, midfielder Marquinhos, and forward Val Baiano. Defensive midfielder Correa and forward Cristian Borja traveled with the group to Goiânia last weekend and participated in the 1-0 victory over Atlético-GO. The only first-time player expected to start against Colorado is Jean, who will replace the suspended Welinton. Excited, he can't wait to get back into action. After all, he hasn't played an official match in six months.
"Of course, maybe the ideal thing would have been to train a little more, but the situation was like this. I worked hard for thirty-three days, and if I hadn't made my debut against Inter, it would have been against Cruzeiro at home or São Paulo away. They would be great matches anyway. I believe this game will be a great opportunity to find my place within the club," said the player, who has nothing but praise for the red-and-black squad.
"It's a very young group, and I believe that we, the older, more experienced ones, have to guide these kids. It's not just Rogério and the coaching staff who are responsible. We have to talk to them a lot so they take advantage of the opportunity to play for Flamengo. It's a group that will have a good Brazilian Championship and will bring a lot of joy to our fans," he added.
