With a valuable point in their baggage and batteries recharged, the Flamengo squad landed at Rio de Janeiro International Airport on Thursday night (November 04.11th). After securing an important draw against Ceará, at the Castelão stadium, last Wednesday (November 03.11rd), the red-and-blacks are already in the Marvelous City and focused on the match against Atlético-PR, on Sunday (November 07.11th), in Volta Redonda.

The delegation arrived in Rio shortly after 21 pm, after spending the day in Fortaleza. In the morning, part of the group did regenerative work in the whirlpool where they were staying, while the rest worked out under the supervision of physical trainer Antônio Melo at Praia do Futuro.

And even though they've just returned home, the Flamengo players are already preparing for a new trip. This Friday (November 05.11th), the team will head to Volta Redonda, where they will play against Atlético on Sunday. The match is considered crucial for Flamengo. After all, a victory would practically eliminate the risk of the team entering the relegation zone.

"It's going to be a great game. I'm calling on our fans to come out in droves to the Raulino stadium. Let's have a good game," urged full-back and captain Leonardo Moura.

The draw against Ceará kept Flamengo in 13th place with 40 points, within the qualifying zone for the Copa Sudamericana, five points ahead of Atlético-MG, who are in 17th place. Atlético, meanwhile, has 47 points, is in ninth place, and continues to dream of a spot in the 2011 Libertadores Cup.
