Expectation: this is the word that defines Paolo Guerrero's return to the Flamengo team. After suffering an injury, the Peruvian was out of action for three weeks and, this Sunday (September 20.09th), he is once again available to coach Oswaldo de Oliveira.

"Thank God, I'm recovering quickly and feeling good. The doctors predicted a three-week recovery, and that's more or less what happened. I'm preparing myself, training hard to be in good shape for the game," said the striker. Guerrero also described his time away from the game and said he wasn't thinking about anything else but his return.

"I'm really hungry to get back to the team. I'm already missing it. I miss getting on the field, having that adrenaline of playing with my teammates, having that joy of playing. And most importantly, winning three points for the team. All these things went through my head, I was really missing it. Fortunately, I'm training with the group and available for Oswaldo," he said.

During his days off, the number 9 player followed the team from an outsider's perspective and spoke about their current form, also sharing his opinion on Sunday's match against Atlético-MG.

"We were in the top four, but unfortunately we didn't have that continuity because of yesterday's game (Thursday, September 17th, against Coritiba). I think Sunday's game will be important. First of all, I want us to get the three points. It will be a tough, difficult game, but we know the group's commitment and we will go onto the field knowing that we need three points," he said.

According to Guerrero, the team is stronger with the return of players who were injured, such as Ederson, Guerrero himself, and, in the future, Emerson, and this is important to achieve the season's objectives.

"I think all the players are important to Oswaldo. He counts on everyone. The team gets even stronger when everyone is recovered and available. Now, we're thinking about Sunday's game, which we have to win. We hope to play a great game and then think about the next steps," he concluded.
