The Peruvian striker said he was confident with the red-and-black squad. "I'm a guy who has a lot of confidence here. I've faced many of my teammates who are here. I'm sure our team can fight," he stated.

The number 9 also discussed his start with the Flamengo Sacred Mantle. "My performance has been fantastic: three goals in three games. I'm getting along well with my teammates, the club, and the coaching staff. I'm very happy to be a Flamengo player," he said. He also gave his opinion on Flamengo's next match in the Brazilian Championship. "Goiás will be tough, it's difficult, but we're regaining the confidence that Flamengo should have as a big team. We're regaining that, confidence is coming, and we're positive. We know it's going to be a tough game, but we have to think big and get the three points," he concluded.
