After the match, the Peruvian player spoke to the press, highlighting the hard work he put in during the week to arrive in good shape for the match against Chapecoense.
"They were my first three goals in the Brazilian Championship. I would have liked to have scored more, but being called up to the national team ended up getting in the way of that a bit. I couldn't score against Fluminense either, but I've been preparing really hard over the last few days and today I felt really good, strong, fast, confident. I want to always be 100% in games. I hope to keep working like this," said Guerrero.
Celebrating with the nation on Ilha do Urubu, Guerrero ran into the arms of the fans and felt the passion emanating from the stands firsthand. "The stadium is beautiful, the atmosphere is unique, and the fans are always there to support us. It's wonderful to celebrate goals; being close to this nation is magnificent. I'm very happy," the striker concluded.
