Flamengo has qualified for the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. After a 0-0 draw with Ponte Preta at the Maracanã, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) advanced in the national competition, and striker Paolo Guerrero celebrated the qualification as he left the stadium.

"They were well organized defensively, playing for a single counter-attack opportunity. Even so, we managed to break down their defense. The most important thing was qualifying."

The Peruvian striker has already looked ahead to the match against Chapecoense, next Sunday (13). At Arena Condá, Rubro-Negro will defend their Brasileirão leadership.

"We're going to correct our mistakes and prepare well to face Chapecoense. We know they're very strong at home. We have to work hard to get another victory."

Finally, the number 9 commented on his physical condition.

"I'm improving with each game, as I get more playing time. Playing minutes and every training session are important. I give my all to be in good shape. The final decision always rests with the coach."
