After securing qualification for the round of 16 of the Conmebol Libertadores, Flamengo now turns its attention to the Brazilian Championship. The Mais Querido will defend its leadership in the national competition in the classic against Vasco, this Saturday (19), at 7 pm, at Maracanã.
Before the training session that concluded preparations for this game, striker Henrique Dourado gave a press conference at Ninho do Urubu and discussed the upcoming match against Vasco.
"We have to be ready for this classic match. It's an important game for us to maintain our lead in the Brazilian Championship. We always want more, so that at the end of the year we can be relaxed and reaping what we've sown."
In a chat with journalists in the Victorino Chermont Press Room, the number 19 highlighted the strength that the players receive from the fans.
"We know that the fans are our fuel, our 12th player. When we have them on our side, without a doubt, we are stronger. We always try to do our best for Flamengo. We missed them in the two Libertadores games played behind closed doors. When we play at home, we are stronger with their support."
