The 25th anniversary of the fifth Brazilian championship was celebrated with many tributes. On Saturday night (22), the heroes of that 1992 title were on Ilha do Urubu and were able, together with the Red-Black Nation, to lift the trophy and celebrate, once again, the title. Exclusively to the official website, the former players and idols of Mais Querido spoke about the importance of remembering such an important achievement.

"It's a unique and special moment. I'm very grateful for the recognition from Flamengo's board of directors for honoring the athletes who made history at the club with such an important title. It's a wonderful moment, and I've truly enjoyed every minute of it. It's undoubtedly very special," said Zinho.

"It's exciting. A lot of things come back to us when we step onto the field and see the fans. We remember our past here. I just have to say thank you and thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to play for a team like Flamengo. There's nothing like it at any other club in the world. This is the best team in the world, and I won a championship for them," said former goalkeeper Gilmar Rinaldi.

For Paulo Nunes, being able to relive the victory with the fans at Ilha do Urubu was a gift. "It's a wonderful feeling for us. Reliving all of this at Flamengo with the younger players is incredible. Flamengo will always be Flamengo. I'm very happy to be here, congratulations to the nation and the president," he commented.

Another notable figure from the club who celebrated the commemorative event was Nélio. "We can only thank the board for this initiative. It was the most important title I've ever won. We struggled to win this trophy. I'm very grateful to see how much the club values its former players and for promoting this beautiful tribute," the player recalled.

A record-holder for Flamengo appearances, Júnior was also a key player in their fifth consecutive championship and spoke about the tribute. "It's always a pleasure and a privilege not only to be with them all reminiscing about their stories, but also this achievement that seemed improbable, but which we managed to make a reality," concluded the number 5.
