After more than a week of negotiations, Flamengo's vice president of football, Kleber Leite, confirmed last night that midfielder Ibson will remain at Gávea for another year. The Flamengo's number 7 celebrated the contract renewal and hopes to return to the team for tomorrow's game against Atlético-MG at Mineirão.

"I knew it wouldn't be easy to stay, but everything worked out. I hope to be available to help the team once again. It's a tough match, away from home, and we need to pick up points. The team needs to stay ahead, even though it's very difficult given the regularity of the championship. I'll stay another year where I was raised, and that makes me very happy."
