Ibson counts on the support of the fans
Player asks for the presence of the red-black nation at Engenhão.
By Flamengo Archive - inMany Flamengo players have never played a match at Engenhão Stadium, the site of Saturday's match against América. Supporter Ibson, on the other hand, played at the stadium for the 2007 Brazilian Championship team and even scored one of the winning goals. He's counting on the fans to be there for the match against América.
- "Our home is the Maracanã, but I hope the fans can come to the Engenhão to cheer us on. Our team is not used to playing there, but the pitch is in good condition, and we hope our team adapts to the field soon."
Ibson highlighted the importance of a victory over América.
- "We already have the Libertadores on the 13th, and if we beat América, we're practically qualified, which gives us more peace of mind to work. We're going after the Taça Guanabara title so we can focus on the Libertadores."
