Defensive midfielder Ibson was one of Flamengo's best players in last night's 3-2 victory over Figueirense at the Orlando Scarpelli Stadium in Florianópolis. Playing in his original position, second midfielder, the Gávea number 7 played a decisive role in the victory, helping create plays and battle in midfield.

"I played more in my position, and that helped a lot. Caio Júnior even said so after the game. The team's attitude also helped, as they were very good on the field."

Ibson hopes Flamengo can maintain its strong run of results in the Brazilian Championship (three wins and three draws). According to the player, consistency will be essential for the Gávea club to close in on leaders Grêmio.

"We played well and got a great result. It was a great victory. We hope to continue this good streak and close the gap on the leaders. We need consistency at this stage of the Brazilian Championship."
