Ibson asks for caution with Inter
Midfielder praises Flamengo's next opponent in the Brazilian Championship.
By Flamengo Archive - inOne of the most capped Flamengo players in the current squad, number 7 Ibson, has called for a close watch on Internacional, Flamengo's next opponent in the Brazilian Championship. Even with the Gaucho team competing in the Copa do Brasil final, Ibson believes Inter will field its first team.
"I don't think they'll rest players. I believe they'll play at full strength. Flamengo needs to mobilize to win. We really need this win, and we're facing a great team. I watched yesterday's game to get a better understanding of their team. It's always important to watch the games to see the positives of the teams. Their elimination from the Copa do Brasil still resonates, but we have to put that aside and play football."
Ibson was full of praise for Serbian Petkovic, who could make his debut on Sunday.
"Pet is an idol to all of us here. He's already built a wonderful history at the Club. I'm sure he'll be a huge help to us on the field."
