Ibson: “We have to look ahead”
Midfielder says that the defeat to Atlético-MG is already a thing of the past and that the entire red-black squad is focused on Sunday's classic.
By Flamengo Archive - inAfter tactical training this afternoon at Gávea, midfielder Ibson assured that the defeat to Atlético-MG is now a thing of the past for the entire Flamengo squad. The number 7 stated that Flamengo is focused on its next Brazilian Championship match against Vasco da Gama on Sunday at Maracanã.
"The loss to Atlético-MG is in the past, and we have to look forward. Now we're focused on Vasco. It's a derby, and we have to be very careful to avoid another surprise. Both teams need to win, and I believe it will be a great game that will be decided by the details."
Ibson praised the Vasco team led by Renato Gaúcho.
"Vasco has great players. Leandro Amaral is one of them. I heard he's doubtful for the derby and would be a major loss for them. But Vasco isn't just Leandro Amaral. They have Jonilson, Fernando, Baiano, Alex Teixeira. They're all great players."
