The Empire of Love has proven, game after game, that it has one of the best attacks in Brazil. And it's not just the fans that Adriano and Vagner Love have captivated. To their teammates, who will have the difficult task of replacing them this Sunday (April 04.04) against Friburguense at Moça Bonita Stadium in Bangu, the two stars instill a lot of confidence and have taught them a lot.
Even the experienced Denis Marques, an idol at other clubs he's played for, confessed that he learns from Adriano and Love on a daily basis.
"Everyone here knows they're exceptional. That's why they're starters. I try to give my all in training so that when I have a chance, I can do my best. It's good to work with them. You always learn something new," said the striker, who isn't discouraged by being a reserve.
"I'm a professional and I'll play whenever the coach chooses me. It'll be a good opportunity to showcase my work. I hope to do well in Bangu this weekend. I've never stopped training hard here at Flamengo, and without a doubt, that will bear fruit," said Denis Marques, explaining that the Rubro-Negro team will give everything to come out with the victory.
"Everyone who isn't playing much wants this opportunity. The chemistry won't be the best, but we have a very strong group. Besides, our will will make up for this problem. Whoever starts playing will do everything to leave the field with the victory," concluded the striker.
Denis Marques took to the field last Thursday in a friendly match in Brasília against a team from the capital. He scored Flamengo's first goal in the match, which ended 3-0.
