The Secretary of Tourism, Sports and Leisure, Marcia Lins, presented on Thursday the new measures that will guide the administration of the Mário Filho stadium, the Maracanã.
One of them mentions ticket sales at the stadium on game days. For fan safety, the ticket booths will close three hours before the match, at 14 PM.

SECURITY - For security at the Maracanã stadium, the following personnel were deployed from the 6th BPM: 200 police officers, two pairs of dogs, two motorcycles, 25 patrol cars, a Special Rescue and Salvage Group (Gesar), three paramedics, six pairs of horses, and a riot police force (composed of a commander and 20 men). The Special Stadium Policing Group (Gepe) will have 160 police officers and two pairs of dogs.
TRAFFIC - The Municipal Transportation Secretariat, through CET-Rio, will deploy the following to Maracanã on game days: 15 agents, 12 tow trucks, 3 message boards, and 50 cones. In addition, 32 Municipal Guard agents will be present for traffic control, and 15 guards will work with the tow trucks. The operation also includes a specific traffic light plan for arrival and departure from the stadium. According to CET-Rio, parking will not be permitted on public roads around the Maracanã complex. The underground parking lots at Teleporto, with approximately 650 spaces, and at UERJ, with a capacity for two thousand cars, are available. Authorities also recommend using public transportation (metro, train, and bus) to get to the stadium.
ORDER SHOCK - The Special Secretariat for Public Order (Seop) will carry out operations that will begin two hours before the games and end two hours after the event. For the finals, the start time will be brought forward by one hour.
OPERATIONAL PLANNING - SEOP will deploy 20 agents for regular games and 26 for decisive days; one to four delegates, 14 CCU (urban control) agents, 150 to 200 municipal guards, six tow trucks for regular games and 12 to 20 for decisive days, and convoys with approximately 20 people including SEOP agents, Urban Control and Municipal Guard.
TRAINS – The objective of the Seop operation is to suppress unauthorized street vending and inhibit the consumption of alcoholic beverages in the vicinity of the stadium, enforcing Decree No. 30.417 of January 22, 2009, which provides for the prohibition of the consumption and sale of alcoholic beverages in the vicinity of the Maracanã stadium on game days, from 2 hours before until 2 hours after the end of the event.

ACTIONS TO BE DEVELOPED - Among the new features of the stadium's modernization is the publication of a joint resolution creating a commission to oversee and control events at the Maracanã, which will have representatives from various secretariats, with the objective of safeguarding the safety of the fans. The Secretariats of Tourism, Sport and Leisure, and the Civil House signed the public document on January 8th, in the Official Gazette. In addition, the area surrounding the ramps will be expanded, with the creation of barriers through security zones and prior control and checking of fans who have tickets.
With the new seating arrangement in the stands, there will be an indication of the number of seats for each sector, implementation of operation and control, with a wide view of the stadium and complete signage, so that everyone knows that the location is an observation post.
