Still on the Serra Dourada pitch after Flamengo's 3-0 victory over Atlético-GO, Ederson spoke about a worrying incident that occurred in the first half. In an aerial duel, the midfielder collided heads with Ricardo Silva, requiring treatment on the field.
Despite it being a strong challenge, Ederson returned to the game after receiving treatment and had a great performance. "These things are part of football, a contact sport. The important thing is to go onto the field without any fear. To play, to give your blood, to give your life for the team. That's what I always try to do," the number 10 assured.

Starting his first match after a long period out of action, the number 10 revealed a special feeling in this triumph. "I was very happy when I found out I was going to play. My teammates gave me a lot of support because they knew it had been a long time since I had started a game as a starter," he commented.

Ederson also discussed Flamengo's plans for the remainder of 2017. "I have complete confidence in this group, we get along very well together. We had a good conversation yesterday, so we are focused on continuing to do well in the Brazilian Championship and in the other competitions as well," he concluded.

This Wednesday (24), coach Zé Ricardo's team will face Atlético Goianiense again, this time for the Copa do Brasil. The match will take place at the Serra Dourada stadium, with kickoff at 21:45 pm.
