Inspiration from Fla x Flu
Ronaldo Angelim wants the team to have the same attitude as in the second half of the State derby

Flamengo's greatest performance of the year was perhaps the derby against Fluminense, still in the Campeonato Carioca, when the team came from a 3-1 first-half deficit to a heroic 5-3 comeback, with a stellar performance from Emperor Adriano. And it's precisely in the second half of that match that defender Ronaldo Angelim wants the team to be inspired to face Universidad de Chile next Thursday.
"I don't think we've played a great game this year. Maybe only the second half of Fla vs. Flu, when we scored four goals and didn't concede any. That's the spirit. We have to keep this rhythm throughout the game," he said.
The defender also believes the red-and-black team can't attack recklessly in Santiago. According to him, despite needing to score two goals, the team also needs to focus on preventing Universidad de Chile from scoring.
"We can't concede goals. I think it's just as important to not concede as it is to score two goals. We know it's going to be tough. But they conceded two goals in the last game, for example. They scored two, but they conceded two. It's up to us not to concede," he added.
The numbers prove Angelim right. After all, the last two times they faced "La U," the Rubro-Negro scored two goals. Both in the 2-2 draw at Maracanã in the first round and in the 3-2 loss in the first leg of this quarterfinal. Now, all that's left to do is maintain this average but reduce the number of goals conceded.
