Intensity marks the morning of training this Ash Wednesday
Zé Ricardo leads technical activities at CT George Helal
By Francisco Freire - inAsh Wednesday (1) was a day of hard work at the George Helal Training Center. Continuing their preparations for the Guanabra Cup final against Fluminense, Flamengo players had an intense training session at Ninho do Urubu.
After muscle activation work at CEP-Fla and on the field, a training session began on a reduced-size field. The squad was divided into four teams, with two facing off on each half of the field, having to exchange quick passes to score goals. Zé Ricardo constantly commented, challenged, and praised the players. The athletes themselves embraced the spirit and chatted extensively during the activity.

After all the teams had faced off, it was time for another technical activity. The squad was now divided into two halves. Two small goals were placed on each end of a small strip of the field. In pairs, players had 30 seconds to beat the opposing team by putting the ball in the opposite goal. The activity focused on movement, passing, marking, and tackling, as well as, once again, on game intensity.
On the field next door, Leandro Damião, Conca and Ederson, who are recovering physically, took part in a ball activity with youngsters from the youth academy.
