Jean assesses his first week at Flamengo
The defender arrived at Gávea last Tuesday and says he is already well adapted to the climate and the red-black team.

The first signing of the 'Zico Era' in Flamengo's football, defender Jean completed his first week at Flamengo this Tuesday (22.06). And these days couldn't have been better, according to the player himself. Already adapted to the club and the squad, the defender didn't hide his happiness at being at Gávea.
Flamengo's new number 26 has nothing but praise for the team, not just on the field but off it as well.
"I was very well received. I already knew four or five players, but the whole group treated me very well. This group here is a family. It's a young, quality squad, there's no vanity, and I thought that was very good. I'm enjoying these first few days here at Flamengo and I hope to repay the affection and trust everyone has shown on the field," he said.
Jean is improving a lot physically and believes he shouldn't have any problems facing Botafogo on the 14th, when Rubro-Negro will play its first official game after the off-season.
"I'm improving physically. These days have been very positive and my progress is being noticed with each training session. I believe that in two weeks I'll be in peak physical shape. If the coach wants to count on me against Botafogo, I believe I'll be ready," he concluded.
