With two days to go before Flamengo's debut in the Campeonato Carioca, on Sunday, against Boavista, at Maracanã, coach Joel Santana organized the last training session at Gávea, aiming to prepare the team.

In the first part of the session, Joel repeated the lineup from the last training session: Bruno, Léo Moura, Fábio Luciano, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Jailton, Cristian, Ibson, and Toró; Renato Augusto and Souza. The team performed very well, and the starters won 2-1, with goals from Souza and Léo Moura. Léo Medeiros scored for the reserves.

In the second half of training, Joel made three changes to the starting lineup. Given the possibility of Bruno and Cristian being out due to regularization issues, the coach added Diego and Hugo Colace to the starting lineup. The final change was Obina replacing Renato Augusto, who had experienced muscle discomfort during training.

The starting lineup felt the changes and didn't perform as well. Egídio and Éder added two more goals for the reserves.

After training, Joel Santana spoke about the changes in the team and his expectations for the debut.

"We trained with the same formation for two weeks, and due to regularization issues, we had to try a new formation. In the second half of the training session, the team felt the changes very strongly, and there was a normal decline. The most important thing is that the players show the same dedication and discipline as last year, so we can achieve victories."
