The coach confirmed his intention to give some players game time in Sunday's game.
- "Diego Tardelli, Kléberson and Marcinho should play. They've only been here at Gávea for a short time, and they need to gain a bit more game rhythm, as well as help adapt to the team's scheme."
Joel once again recalled the importance of the game against Vasco, which will decide the group's position, and consequently the opponent in the Taça Rio semi-final.
- "Playing a classic is always good. I hope the fans turn up, because it's an important game for Flamengo. Everyone here is very motivated for Sunday."
