Joel wants Flamengo to be better away from home
By Flamengo Archive - inA Flamengo team performing as well away from home as it does at Maracanã. That's what coach Joel Santana hopes to see in this Sunday's match against Juventude in Caxias do Sul. After training on Thursday morning in Gávea, the coach commented on the attitude he wants to see from the team.
"Playing well away from home is fundamentally about balance. We lost to Internacional and Palmeiras mainly due to our own mistakes," commented Joel, predicting even greater difficulties in Serra Gaúcha.
"Against Juventude it will be even more complicated, because they are an opponent that usually plays very well at home. Furthermore, the trip to Caxias do Sul is very tiring," commented the coach, highlighting that the delegation leaves Rio de Janeiro at 16:40 p.m. and arrives in the city in the Serra Gaúcha region at 23 p.m.
This Friday morning, the team will train at Gávea. The coach will lead a training session to finalize the details for the match against Juventude. Saturday's training session is scheduled for 10 a.m., in the South. Without Obina, the team will be counting on the return of Souza and Maxi, who will form the attacking duo.
