There's no denying that the signings of Ronaldinho and Thiago Neves are very good news for Flamengo at the start of 2011. Not only for the board, who did the work of bringing them in, or for the fans, who will be able to see them play together for their beloved team, but also for the Flamengo squad, who believe they will have an even stronger team from now on.

Defender Ronaldo Angelim is one of the players with the longest tenure – and most titles – wearing the Flamengo jersey. Therefore, he knows well what it's like to play and win titles wearing the Sacred Mantle. With Ronaldinho and Thiago, he hopes to experience that feeling many more times.

"They are great attacking midfielders who will help a lot and have a lot of quality. We needed them, they've already agreed and we're happy, we'll welcome them here and I hope it will be a great year for them, for me and for Flamengo. Certainly, confidence increases. Flamengo is always the favorite when it enters a competition. We don't have an obligation to win, but we will seek titles. The fans want that, we do too, and we will work towards that," analyzed the defender, noting that for those who play in defense, it's good to have players like that bothering the opposing defenders.

"I've faced Thiago Neves several times, but never Ronaldinho, and it's great that he'll be on my side now. With players like that, you have to play alongside them (laughs). I'm very happy that Flamengo made these great signings. Ronaldinho's was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in Brazil, and I hope he comes and helps us a lot," he emphasized.

Midfielder Willians agrees. According to him, with all this talent combined and a united group, Flamengo has a chance to achieve great results in 2011.

"The important thing is for them to come in and help us. If everyone is united, the group is tight-knit, we'll go for titles. We're here to work and help our teammates. With everyone together, we can reap good rewards," he concluded.
