Porto Alegre (RS) - Despite reports that Colorado will field a mixed team, Internacional's lineup in Friday's (July 23.07) training session didn't excite Flamengo's players at all. Quite the opposite. The Flamengo players made a point of highlighting the quality of the Rio Grande do Sul team and demonstrated their awareness that Sunday's (July 25.07) matchup won't be easy. Inter are expected to field Renan, Bruno Silva, Indio, Fabiano Eller, and Juan; Wilson Matias, Guiñazú, Tinga, and Giuliano; and Taison and Rafael Sobis. A team highly respected by Flamengo fans.
"Regardless of the team being mixed, Inter have a strong squad, playing at home is even more difficult, and we have to remain calm. We have to go into the field with a compromise to try not to concede goals and leave here with a point," said midfielder Willians.
Full-back Juan emphasized that, regardless of the team from the South being resting some players with the Libertadores in mind, a situation that Flamengo itself has already been through, the Colorado players will enter the field looking for victory.
"We've already been in this situation of resting some players because of the Libertadores and we know that, even so, the team that takes the field for the Brasileirão will also do its best and will want to show its worth and win points, even due to the importance of the Brasileirão itself," said the number 6, whose speech was endorsed by Marcelo Lomba.
