Flamengo's restructuring began off the field. Before signing any players, the club announced changes to its coaching staff. Assistant coach Marcelo Buarque, fitness coach Toninho Oliveira, and goalkeeping coach Cantareli were the main additions in these first days of training at Gávea.

The professionals who were previously part of the commission were well-liked by the players, but the athletes believe that the newcomer will continue the work and help Flamengo fight for the seventh title.

"It's part of life. The guys who were here did a good job and showed their potential. The new coaching staff has to seize this opportunity, sign with us, and continue the work," said midfielder Willians, whose speech was echoed by defender David.

"We liked the people who were here, but I hope they can do a good job and help us. Zico has a successful track record and it's very important to have him as director now. Let's wait and see if he will have the same success now in this position," said the number 14.

Zico's hiring as executive director of football also continues to garner praise. For Willians, the Galinho has everything it takes to succeed in his new role.

"I think he'll be a great director. He's a professional everyone respects. Flamengo has always wanted him, and now I believe he can help us. We knew Zico as a player, and now he's in this position. It's different, but he has everything it takes to succeed," he added.
