Rubro-Negros highlight the importance of a positive result against Atlético-GO

And, with a goal from Petkovic, from a penalty, the team from Gávea managed to win the duel between the red-blacks and the Goiás team and also reached the group of the top four in the Brazilian Championship.
Young striker Diego Maurício, making his second start, made the individual play that ultimately resulted in Pet's penalty kick. Happy to have been involved in the decisive play, the number 49 celebrated the result in Goiás.
"I'm happy with this opportunity that Professor Rogério Lourenço gave me, and I'm here to help. Of course, scoring goals is important, but first and foremost, I have to dedicate myself and do what I can to help the team leave the field with the three points," he said.
Team captain Leonardo Moura said he knew the match against Dragão would not be easy and highlighted his teammates' dedication in the victory over Atlético-GO.
"What matters are the three points. We knew it would be a difficult game, but the team came in focused, dedicated themselves and achieved a very important victory," he said.
The Flamengo delegation returns to Rio de Janeiro in the early hours of this Monday (19.07). The team leaves at 23:59 pm, in Goiás, and returns to Gávea, at 15 pm.
