Players highlight the point won in Bahia
“This draw could be important in the future,” recalls goalkeeper Bruno.
By Flamengo Archive - inFor Flamengo's players, last night's 0-0 draw in Salvador was crucial for the red-and-black team to earn another point and stay in contention for a spot in the Copa Libertadores and the Brazilian Championship title. Captain Fábio Luciano praised the Flamengo team's spirit during the match.
"Only we know how difficult it is to get a result at our opponent's home ground. We fought the whole time, but unfortunately we drew. We'll take this point to Rio de Janeiro, as we're still in the running for a spot in the Libertadores and the Brazilian title."
For goalkeeper Bruno, the point gained could be very important at the end of the Brazilian Championship.
"Now we're going to play three home games in a row. These matches will be decisive for us. We're still in the running. Of course, we wanted to win. But this draw could be important later on."
Léo Moura believes that the results of the round were positive for Flamengo.
"Given the current situation in the table, the draw wasn't bad. We have a home game against Portuguesa, and we'll do everything we can to get the three points and climb even higher in the table."
