Every relationship has its ups and downs. Happy and sad moments, moments of euphoria and tension. It's no different between Flamengo fans and their team. But the love never ceases to exist, and it's in the most difficult times that it speaks louder than anything else to make all the difference. That's how it was last Saturday (November 20.11th), when 40 Flamengo supporters packed the Engenhão stadium and pushed the team to victory over Guarani.

An important result, and one that the players themselves were keen to dedicate to the Flamengo Nation. One of them was left-back Juan, who knows well what it's like to receive both support and demands from the Flamengo fans. At Gávea since 2006, the number 6 has already established a strong connection with the supporters and promises a lot of fighting spirit until the end of the Brazilian Championship to honor the Sacred Mantle.

"The fans showed up, and we showed our commitment. We care deeply about this club. We don't want to see Flamengo in the Second Division. We will give our lives for this club," he said.

A fan favorite and cheered from his first touch of the ball in Saturday's game, Serbian midfielder Petkovic also heaped praise on the fans and attributed the victory "to the Flamengo supporters."

"This victory means a lot. It's thanks to the fans, who came to support us, and that means a great deal," he noted.

At the end of the game, several players threw their shirts to the fans, including Val Baiano, Diego Maurício, Willians, Welinton, Renato, and Juan, among others. In the next round, Flamengo faces Cruzeiro on Sunday at 17 PM (Brasilia time) in Volta Redonda.
