Flamengo's squad returned this Tuesday morning (22/01) for another training session at the Gávea field. Aiming to prepare the team for Thursday's game (24/01), against Cardoso Moreira, at Maracanã, coach Joel Santana organized another training session.

With midfielder Renato Augusto injured, Marcinho formed the starting attack with Souza. Joel's other surprise was the selection of Jônatas in Cristian's place. The starting lineup consisted of Diego, Léo Moura, Fábio Luciano, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Jailton, Jônatas, Ibson, and Toró; Marcinho and Souza. The reserve team consisted of Bruno, Rodrigo Arroz, Thiago Salles, and Rodrigo; Luizinho, Cristian, Kléberson, and Egídio; Maxi, Diego Tardelli, and Obina (Éder).

Even with the 1-1 result, with goals from Ibson and Éder, the starting team performed well, with the Ibson and Jônatas duo standing out, who performed well in midfield, showing great chemistry.

Midway through the session, coach Joel Santana made the only change to the team, removing defensive midfielder Jailton and bringing Obina up front with Souza. With the change, Marcinho was moved to midfield.
