Left-back Jorge, who scored one of Flamengo's goals in the 3-3 draw with Botafogo, spoke about the derby as he left the pitch at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium on Ilha do Governador. He also commented on the presence of Tite, the Brazilian national team coach, at the game.

"We didn't do well in the first half, but in the second half we came back much better than Botafogo. Unfortunately, we conceded two goals we shouldn't have. We let the guy launch the second goal, and in the third half we can't concede a goal because the guy comes out of midfield and appears there, but it was a classic. It leaves a bad taste, but it was a good classic. We deserve congratulations on the match and the point we got. I wanted to score the winning goal.
